The 96th edition of the Pitti Bimbo

Pitti Bimbo will be held in Florence on January 18-20 – DR

Many buyers, also from outside Italy, are set to attend. Those who have currently confirmed their presence hail from, besides Italy, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Belgium, Germany, the USA, Austria, the UK, France, South Korea, Switzerland, Andorra and the Netherlands.

Organiser Pitti Immagine has chosen ‘Pitti Way’ as the theme for the show’s upcoming winter sessions, as managing director Agostino Poletto indicated in a press release: “Pitti Way underlines the many possible choices we must consider in order to exit from a complicated global gridlock. In these times, difficult yet also creative, innovative, and diverse, the Pitti Immagine shows will act as a compass for defining new directions, conceiving possible pathways, and considering the possible choices to then restart. At the Fortezza, there will be routes, turn signals, curves, and U-turns for cruising at fast speed. A sometimes-contradictory pathway that is proof of an inexhaustible energy: the same that leads towards the new directions, which are all still possible, of the future.”

Two main sections within the show will illustrate the most recent childrenswear trends: “100% Bimbo”, offering an overview of the collections that express the multiple incarnations of childrenswear, showcasing major labels and the industry’s iconic brands; and “The Kids’ Lab”, focusing on avant-garde children’s fashion and lifestyle products, home to the most original, surprising collections, and sophisticated looks by pioneering new brands.

Pitti Bimbo 96 will host a number of special projects and lifestyle sections: “Apartment”, dedicated to high-end experimental labels, with refined lines and innovative materials; “The Nest”, a section for small emerging brands and their ground-breaking collections; “I Want To Be Green”, dedicated to the ethical, sustainable solutions to which fashion, and childrenswear specifically, is increasingly committed; and finally “Pop Up”, a section that will shine a spotlight on new, original, directional product categories.

From December 6, Pitti Bimbo will be accessible online on the Pitti Connect platform and the show’s social media channels. “Alongside the activities characterising Pitti Connect’s online season, Pitti Bimbo will operate, during the show, a fully fledged editorial office called Magic
