On May 23, the “Diamonds” singer poked a bit of fun at the stealth-wealth trend popularized by the likes of Gwyneth Paltrow and Succession‘s Shiv Roy by rocking a nine-carat pearl-shaped diamond toe ring, which is estimated to be worth around $1 million, according to Page Six. Jewelry expert Maxwell Stone of Steven Stone Jewellers also told the publication that the pearl-shaped diamond is “believed to symbolize the empowerment and independence of the wearer,” making it the “perfect choice for a global superstar like Rihanna.”
“Quiet luxury,” Rihanna captioned the clip, which features the singer walking in a pair of sparkling heels to show off the unexpected accessory.

It’s likely Rihanna recorded the short clip the same day she wore her pre–Met Gala feathered Chanel look, which featured a white feathered minidress with a matching jacket and hat from the fashion house’s 1994 collection. On April 30 she posted the avant-garde look on Instagram, which also included the Amina Muaddi sandals and XIV Karats toe ring.
