After making an entrance at the Grammy Awards last month, Hailey Bieber made another memorable red-carpet moment at the 2022 Met Gala, where she stunned in a white Yves Saint Laurent gown and a dramatic feather-trimmed cape.
The model put a spin on the gala’s “Gilded Glamour” theme, opting for glamorous white silk, feathers, and black tights. She finished off the look with her trademark glazed donut skin and a sleek bun.
This is the seventh Met Gala for Bieber. Last year the model attended with husband Justin Bieber, making their couple debut in black outfits. For 2021’s “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion” theme, the model wore a plunging Saint Laurent gown and black sunglasses.
Last year Bieber opened up about attending the Met Gala to guest host Yvonne Orji on the , where she shared her “cursed” history with the high-profile event. Bieber first attended the Met Gala in 2015 under the theme “China: Through the Looking Glass” when she was just 18. “The first time I ever went to the Met, the morning after, I twisted my ankle and broke my foot,” she said. “It was a whole thing!”
A year later Bieber attended the Met Gala in 2016 and suffered an eerily similar injury. “The year after, 365 days to the day, because it was midnight of the Met Gala, I broke the same foot,” she said. “But, the bone next to the one I broke the year before. I had this whole thing in my head where I was like, the night of the Met Gala or the 24 hours within the Met Gala are cursed for me.”
Since then Bieber has been safe from injury. “It happened the two times and it hasn’t happened since, knock on wood,” she told Orji. Here’s hoping Hailey Bieber comes out scot-free in 2022!
