Smith, who first came to prominence with her debut studio album Lost and Found in 2018, has since won a number of awards, including the BRITs Critics Choice Award, the BRIT Award for Best British Female Artist and a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist.

So not only does she have a high profile that should boost the brand, but she fits into its enthusiastic embracing of pop culture.

Meanwhile, the new shoe style has a Sciarada Evolo suede upper, made “with a more sustainable footprint compared to traditional suede and complemented by recycled laces to boost its green edge.

Signature Clarks features include topstitching and crepe soles while dual-branded fobs in silver tone are claimed to “capture Jorja’s unique modern style”.

The style is available in all-black, but a white version is also launching exclusively at luxury retailer END.

It debuts on Saturday 21 October online in the UK, EU, US, Japan, and China. But it will also be in-store in London (Berwick Street), Manchester, Osaka, Tokyo, and Beijing, priced at £160/€190/$190.
