Heidi Klum throwing her annual star-studded Heidiween party and wearing a super-committed costume is certainly one of the more fun celebrity traditions, but the stakes have perhaps never been so high as they are today, in 2023. Why? Because last year, well, last year was legendary. Last year tilted the world’s axis. Last year changed the game.
Last year was the year she was a worm.

After teasing the costume with a naked pic, she went as…drumroll please…
An enormous, multiperson peacock.
The Queen of Halloween has done it again, this time enlisting the help of some Cirque du Soleil performers to pose as her peacock’s wings and legs. To create her fabulous, acrobatic illusion, Klum stood on one performer’s knees in the center, while her attendants stretched their legs behind her to form the bird’s wings.
As usual, Klum was unrecognizable beneath her Halloween makeup, which this time included a remarkably realistic beak and a beaded forehead piece. Even without her human wings behind her, Klum’s costume gives 100%.
But the dancers weren’t the only help Klum got with her epic look. The model also got her husband, Tom Kaulitz, to participate. He went as a giant egg, which was so funny it almost (almost) stole the show. On the red carpet Klum told Entertainment Tonight that getting ready for the evening took a casual six hours or so for hair and makeup, but the real work was in the planning. “It was fun,” she said with a laugh.
Heidi Klum is a judge on America’s Got Talent, and clearly, her talent is transformation. Happy Halloween!
