Salma Hayek’s Surreal Heels Are a Surprising Summer Trend

If we had to pick one word to describe Salma Hayek’s personal style it would be versatile, as she always has fun experimenting with her looks and pushing boundaries when it comes to styling. Whether she’s nailing bombshell Old Hollywood style on the red carpet or wearing a billowing, printed caftan while vacationing on a yacht in the South of France, the actor and philanthropist has a knack for bringing glamour to any event. Her latest styling triumph? Wearing one of spring’s most prominent footwear trends: surrealist, sculptural shoes.

On her latest Instagram post, the 56-year-old star wore an almost boudoir-ready outfit: a dark floral silk pajama set by Borgo de Nor with a pearl necklace. However, the real talking point of the look is her Alexander McQueen Arc sock boots that are made from a tight-fighting black knit and feature a sculptural silver-finished heel. Hayek is married to François-Henri Pinaut, the chairman and CEO of Kering, and frequently selects looks from Gucci, Alexander McQueen, and their stablemates at the luxury conglomerate. So it’s no surprise to see her sporting McQueen’s hero shoe for the season.
