Carter’s Announces Key Leadership Changes to Accelerate Growth

Carter’s, Inc. (NYSE: CRI), the largest branded marketer in the United States of baby and young children’s apparel and accessories, today announced several key leadership changes to further strengthen its management team and accelerate the company’s growth strategy.

Carter’s is pleased to welcome John Newman as Executive Vice President and Chief Supply Chain Officer. In this role, Newman will have responsibility for the company’s global sourcing, planning, manufacturing, distribution, and logistics operations. Newman brings over 25 years of experience in the retail and consumer goods industries, having previously served as Executive Vice President of Supply Chain and Logistics at Walmart U.S. and as Senior Vice President of Global Logistics and Transportation at Amazon.com.

In addition, Carter’s is promoting Julie Caspersen to Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer. Caspersen has been with Carter’s for over 20 years, holding various financial leadership positions, including Senior Vice President of Finance. In her new role, Caspersen will oversee the company’s financial operations, including accounting, tax, treasury, and investor relations. Her extensive experience and deep understanding of Carter’s business will be invaluable in driving the company’s continued success.

Carter’s is also announcing the departure of Michael Casey, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, who has decided to pursue other opportunities. Carter’s thanks Casey for his many contributions to the company during his 25-year tenure, including his leadership in expanding the company’s international business and driving operational improvements. Carter’s is confident that the new leadership structure will enable the company to continue to execute its growth strategy and deliver long-term value for shareholders.
