Amiri and Wes Lang join forces for a book and documentary
This Wednesday night, the multi-brand MaxfieldMike Amiri
Playing the total immersion, the courtyard of Maxfield, projected directly the 400 guests, all wearing black, in the macabro-sulfurous universe of the artist West Lang, where drawings and paintings of reapers and skeletons dressed in the colors of the American flag, alongside birds, pin-ups and pretty handwritten words.

A collection where public could look at skeletons and zombies painted or embroidered directly on denim jackets, silk shirts, single-breasted shearling coats and bags. Some unique dyed pieces, splashing prints giving a rock look to the wardrobe, skull emblems on varsity jackets or custom tapestry overshirts and even skateboards, majority in black and white with crazy skull illustrations.
The large format book published by Rizzoli comes back on the collaboration between the two creative minds, reveals the graphic and striking universe of Wes Lang and puts it in connection with the style and the wardrobe of Amiri. The book also shows the behind-the-scenes of their collaboration, from the design of the silhouettes to the paintings in Amiri’s workshop and Wes Lang’s studio, to the February show in Los Angeles.
In addition to the release of the book, Mike Amiri took the opportunity to announce the release of a documentary film, a sort of artistic journey to the heart of their collaboration. A fashionable exercise in fashion houses, where the two protagonists exchange both their ideas and their personal techniques, before taking us backstage at the last fall-winter show.
The Fall Winter 2022 collection will be available in Amiri stores, international retailers and on amiri.com. The documentary can be found on Amiri’s YouTube and social media channels, and the Amiri x Wes Lang book is available at select retailers.
