Sydney Sweeney is embracing whatever the opposite of the natural look is, stepping out in London in a gown that evokes Star Wars or maybe Dune. Is she up for a sci-fi role I don’t know about? Anyway, space witch is a good look on her.
The was honored in British GQ’s 2022 Men of the Year issue and attended the Men of the Year Awards in a one-sleeve high-neck black gown by LaQuan Smith that features a train (or maybe cape?) and a cut-out midriff. At the bodice she wore a metallic, reflective bustier complete with mirror nipples.
Sci-fi aside, I’m reminded of her Euphoria costar Zendaya’s Tom Ford breastplate moment at the Critic’s Choice Awards in 2020.
Don’t these things…hurt? Or is there a special kind of sticky padding that Hollywood It girls use, and if so, can they please post about it?
Another place Sweeney’s look would have fit right in was at the 2016 Met Gala, where the theme was “Manus x Machina: Fashion in the Age of Technology” (also the night Taylor Swift met Tom Hiddleston…and Joe Alwyn…but that’s a TBT for another time). Like, tell me Sweeney isn’t channeling Gigi Hadid’s look from that carpet:
