Kate Middleton Is Wearing This Bright Yellow Blazer for a Good Reason

The Princess of Wales is basically always sending some kind of message with her wardrobe. Luckily, this time it isn’t hard to decode the meaning behind the bright yellow blazer Kate Middleton wore in Birmingham, England, on a recent royal outing.

October 10 is World Mental Health day, and to honor the occasion, Princess Kate wore yellow as part of YoungMinds charity’s #HelloYellow campaign to raise awareness of youth mental health. She layered the canary-colored L.K. Bennett jacket over a simple black top and trousers. Young people’s mental health and brightly colored suiting are both things Kate has been championing lately (though one is obviously more important than the other). She’s been seen in her boss lady best to promote several youth-focused charities in 2023, including the launch of her Stepping Up campaign in January, for which she wore a cherry red pantsuit.

And Kate Middleton isn’t the only member of the British royal family who has made mental health one of their primary social causes. While Kate spoke at a youth forum in England, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are hosting the Archewell Foundation Parents’ Summit in New York City, as part of Project Healthy Minds’ World Mental Health Day festival, according to Today. The Sussexes are scheduled to participate in a panel on youth mental health in the age of social media, along with surgeon general Vivek Murthy and moderated by Carson Daly.

No word yet on what color Duchess Meghan is wearing.
