Somehow I don’t see this trend taking off any time soon, even if Travis Kelce is totally pulling it off. The stylish tight end recently stepped out in a pair of brown pants that seem to be made of a loose, crushed-velvet fabric, and Swifties immediately noticed that they bear a resemblance to the curtains their idol (and mine, TBH) sat in front of while announcing the tracks from her last album, Midnights.
On October 8, the fashionable jock, who plays for the Kansas City Chiefs, was photographed wearing said pants just before taking on the Minnesota Vikings. Kelce paired his pants (which are, in my opinion, probably velour) with a white shirt and high-top Nikes, accessorizing with sunglasses, a gold watch, and a Louis Vuitton bag. Yes, he enjoys the finer things in life.
To be fair, the material does resemble the Midnights track listing curtain, though I don’t think that means anything, since the album came out a year ago and Traylor wasn’t at all a thing then.
“It’s me, hi,” she’s so insane I love it.
The next day, Kelce posted his ’fit to Instagram, where his comments section was immediately swarmed by Swifties. Fox Sports’ Clarissa Thompson commented, “What is that, velvet?” which is a line from the Eddie Murphy film Coming to America and not a Taylor Swift reference, FYI. Kelce wrote back, “No idea but they’re as comfy as they look!! 🔥🔥”
And there you have it, folks. Travis Kelce doesn’t know what velvet is, but he likes to stay comfy. Sounds fine to me! Though I don’t see your typical gym bro having the swag to roll up to boys night in this look, but hey, you never know. Taylor’s in her sporty era!
More important, I also recently learned that Kelce doesn’t know (or care) about . We gotta fix that!
